About Tasmania (THM)
Tasmania Handel-Maatschappij B.V. (THM) is a trading and import company founded in 1944 and based in Amsterdam-Westpoort. Since 1973 the company has specialised in the charcoal and briquette product group, supplying supermarkets, garden centres, wholesalers and BBQ specialty retailers throughout the Netherlands. The product range includes restaurant charcoal made from oak, acacia, black wattle, white quebracho, marabu and binchotan, charcoal and coconut briquettes, firelighters, and seasonally kiln-dried fireplace wood and paraffin fireplace blocks. In addition to the standard THM brand ("the bag with the flame"), Tasmania has been distributing the premium brand House of Charcoal for professionals and discerning end consumers since 2014, whose products are regularly tested. The company also offers neutral packaging (private label) to customers. Numerous products are FSC® (C016391) or PEFC certified; the company is certified to ISO 9001:2015. Since 1 January 2026, the office and 5.500 m² of warehouse space have been located at Latexweg 5 in Amsterdam, with a further warehouse in Veenendaal.

Charcoal, coconut and sawdust briquettes (hexagon)
Briquettes in 2–10 kg packs with long burn times, also as coconut briquettes with a stated minimum burn time (160+/240+ minutes).
Firelighters (brown/white blocks, wood wool products, kindling wood)
Firelighters on a PE base (paraffin) or plant-based, some PEFC- or FSC®-certified; in 2024 the Eco aanmaaksnippers-in-net was introduced together with Walwood.
Kiln-dried fireplace wood (alder, birch, 25 cm)
Fireplace wood with a moisture content below 20%, supplied in nets, carrier bags or as RM pallets.
BBQ appliances (parrilla, instant barbecue, cast-iron drum)
Complementary range of BBQ appliances, including the Parrilla "Open Fire" BBQ and the single-use instant barbecue.
