About Taurob
Taurob GmbH develops and produces fully autonomous ground robots for inspection, maintenance and data collection at industrial facilities. The portfolio includes the Inspector (inspection), Gasfinder (gas leak detection), Operator (autonomous work robot with a 5-DOF arm, up to 75 kg lift capacity) as well as the tracked platform Tracker, since 2013 available as the ATEX Zone 1 certified variant Tracker Ex. The robots capture video, audio and sensor data, detect gas leaks, operate valves and integrate via API into analytics and digital twin software; a cloud platform serves for fleet management. The products are ATEX and IECEx certified and designed for rugged operation at -20 °C to +60 °C (IP67). Taurob was founded in 2010 by Matthias Biegl and Lukas Silberbauer, won the 2017 TotalEnergies ARGOS Challenge together with TU Darmstadt, and operates a 300 m² production center in Vienna-Liesing (Perfektastraße 57/7) with over 50 employees. Customers come from Oil & Gas, power generation, chemicals, mining, emergency response as well as surveillance & security, including TotalEnergies, Dietsmann and the Net Zero Technology Centre.
