About TB&C
TB&C is a development and production partner for custom hybrid components, busbars, and mechatronic and kinematic metal injection molding (MIM) assemblies. The company combines thermoplastics, steel and copper into functionally integrated parts. Core processes are Outsert technology (functional plastic elements on a metallic base body, including movable parts such as levers and gears in a single shot), Insert technology for busbars and carrier frames, as well as overmolding and net overmolding of multi-component products. For electromobility, battery junction boxes, cell contacting systems and overmolded busbars are manufactured. TB&C hybrid parts are used worldwide in the automotive industry, in industrial applications and in medical technology; according to the company, more than 3 million sunroof systems per year are equipped with TB&C hybrid parts. The focus is on medium to large-scale series starting at 10,000 units per year.

Materials & Processes
Copper
Conductor material for busbars, busbars/(power rails) and connectors in hybrid components.
Steel
Base bodies and inserts for outsert and overmolding technology.
Thermoplastics
Overmolding and functional material for hybrid components and housings.
Metal Injection Molding (MIM)
Process for mechatronic and kinematic assemblies.
Outsert Technology
Manufacture of functional plastic elements on a metallic base body, including movable parts such as levers and gears in a single shot.
Insert Technology
Joining of different components by overmolding with thermoplastic, e.g. for multi-pin connectors and busbars.
Overmolding
Overmolding of injection-molded parts or metal carriers, also as net overmolding with metal inserts and springs.
