About us

TB Klinger-Kulturtechnik GmbH (alpECON) is a technical office based in Imst in Tyrol that has been working on alpine technologies since 1993. Its core activities are the planning and construction of small hydropower plants in the output range of roughly 25 kW to 5.000 kW, hydrological studies and the construction of permanent monitoring stations at springs, streams and in groundwater, as well as the planning of water supply and wastewater disposal systems. The portfolio also includes the planning of snowmaking systems, landfills and construction material recycling facilities, permitting and § 82b inspections of industrial plants, as well as surveying and geodata. In power plant planning, the engineers collaborate with limnologists and ecologists; planning services range from water intake, desanding and residual water facilities (including fish ladders and downstream migration facilities) to penstocks certified to ÖNORM B 5050 and energy supply with stand-alone and grid-feed-in systems. Clients include municipalities, alpine clubs, mountain huts and municipal utilities in the Alpine region.
