About TBM Automation
TBM Automation AG is a Swiss company based in Widnau (Canton of St. Gallen) that has been developing solutions for industrial automation since 1991. With around 20 employees, the company covers the entire value chain: from engineering (electrical design, control software, retrofit) and the fabrication of control cabinets and cable assembly to commissioning and remote maintenance. Its business areas include control technology based on Siemens Simatic and Beckhoff, Motion & Drives as the Swiss Kollmorgen distributor, Vision & Robotics with collaborative and classical robots (including AUBO, Stäubli, ABB, Yaskawa) as well as Peening Controls – controllers, regulators and sensors for shot blasting technology. Customers come from industries such as special-purpose machinery manufacturing, aviation (including Lufthansa Technik, Rolls-Royce, MTU), food manufacturing, the ceramics and brick industry, electroplating and process engineering. Projects have been implemented internationally, including in Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein, Italy, China, India, Romania, South Africa, Saudi Arabia and the USA. In 2023, with Werner Kolb AG as co-ownership, extensive sustainability measures were implemented at the company building (ground-source heat pump, photovoltaics).
