About the Technische Hochschule Mannheim
The Technische Hochschule Mannheim is a technology-oriented university of applied sciences in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region. Its core services for industry include research cooperations, contract research, technology transfer and cooperative doctoral programs with partners such as Heidelberg University and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. Research focuses lie at the interfaces of engineering and life sciences, in particular in mass spectrometry, optical measurement technology, intelligent sensor systems, biomedicine and process analytics. The Research and Transfer Center CeMOS, founded in 2018, bundles the competencies of the most externally funded research groups with more than 80 staff members and conducts active technology transfer with around 100 industrial partners. In 2025, around 11 million euros in external research funding flowed into more than 140 projects. In addition to research, the university educates the next generation of engineers across nine faculties and offers companies recruiting and further training programs such as StudiumPLUS. Its location is the centrally situated campus at the Neckarauer Übergang in Mannheim.
