About TU Braunschweig
Technische Universität Braunschweig is a public research university founded in 1745 with a focus on engineering, natural sciences, life sciences as well as humanities and social sciences. It is organized into six faculties and operates research centers such as the Lower Saxony Research Center for Vehicle Technology (NFF), the Lower Saxony Aviation Research Center (NFL), the Center for Pharmaceutical Process Engineering (PVZ) and the Research Center for Nanometrology (LENA). For companies in the region – especially SMEs – the Transfer Service offers technology transfer, research cooperations, patent and invention management as well as startup support (Transferhub, Entrepreneurship Hub, iTUBS). The Research Service provides funding advice and an EU Support Office for Horizon Europe projects. TU Braunschweig is a founding member of TU 9 (2006) and a member of CESAER, EUA, DFH, ISCN and Scholars at Risk. In 2018 it received Excellence Clusters in aviation and metrology under the Excellence Strategy.
