Technische Universität Dresden (TUD) is a public corporation and has been among the ranks of the German universities of excellence since 2012. It offers teaching and research in the natural sciences and mathematics, civil and environmental engineering, engineering sciences, humanities and social sciences, medicine and teacher education. Research is conducted at TUD in five Clusters of Excellence on robotics, sustainable electronics, resource-efficient construction, quantum materials and the physical foundations of life. Servicedesks as well as workshop and experimental field networks are available for teaching and research operations, which also work in cooperation with non-university research partners.
