About Tecnomagnete

Tecnomagnete, part of the SMW Autoblok Group (MAG-AUTOBLOK TECNOMAGNETE SpA), specialises in the development, manufacture and distribution of permanent-electro magnet systems for industry. The product portfolio includes magnetic clamping plates for machine tools (milling, grinding, turning, 5-axis machining), lifting magnets and heavy-duty lifting systems for transporting steel sheets, slabs, ingots and forged parts, as well as magnetic quick-change systems for presses. The systems use combined neodymium and reversible AlNiCo permanent magnet technology, which only requires short current pulses for reversal, thereby significantly reducing power consumption compared with conventional electromagnets. The group plant in Lainate, Italy (approx. 16,000 m², 6 buildings) has two R&D laboratories and fifteen milling and machining centres for in-house production of system components. Tecnomagnete GmbH in Langen is responsible for sales and after-sales service for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Customers are found in the metalworking industry, sheet metal forming, plastic injection moulding and railway construction.

Materials & Technology

Nd

Neodymium permanent magnet

Together with the reversible AlNiCo magnet, generates the permanent holding force of the permanent-electro systems without continuous energisation.

AlNiCo

Reversible AlNiCo permanent magnet

Short current pulses switch the magnetic flux between the MAG and DEMAG states.

St

Steel

Material for housings, module frames and system components as well as workpiece material for clamping and lifting applications.

StBlech

Sheet steel

Main field of application of the lifting and crossbar systems for sheets, slabs and ingots (from 5 mm material thickness).

FZ
