About us
Teijin Aramid B.V., headquartered in Arnhem (Netherlands), is a manufacturer of high-performance aramid fibers and has been part of the Japanese Teijin Group since 2000. The company produces the para-aramid Twaron® (PPTA) – from the polymer in Delfzijl, via the yarn at the world's largest aramid plant in Emmen, to pulp specialty types and recycling in Arnhem – as well as the para-aramid fiber Technora® and the meta-aramid Teijinconex® in Japan. With a capacity of around 24,000 t/year (as of 2006, since expanded), Teijin Aramid is one of the world's leading aramid producers. The fibers are used in tires, protective clothing, ballistics, aerospace, marine, mining, telecommunications and renewable energy. Seven regional sales offices as well as research and application centers (including in Wuppertal and Shanghai) provide technical support, product development and material testing.
