About Teka
The Teka Group is a manufacturer of ovens, hobs, extractor hoods, refrigerators, dishwashers and other household appliances, as well as kitchen sinks made of stainless steel and decorative materials. Kitchen and bathroom fittings are additionally produced in plants in China and Hungary. The company was founded in 1924 in Haiger (Hesse) as Thielmann und Klein and acquired the rights to process stainless steel in 1936, from which the manufacture of household appliances and sinks emerged. Since 1964, the company headquarters has been located in Madrid, from where 15 factories and more than 30 sales companies in Europe, America, Asia and the Middle East are managed. Around 3,600 employees work for Teka worldwide. In Germany, the Gelsenkirchen site serves as the Germany and Central Europe headquarters; catering and commercial kitchen products are manufactured there (Küppersbusch).
