About TEKO
TEKO Gesellschaft für Kältetechnik mbH, based in Altenstadt (Hesse), has been developing and manufacturing refrigeration systems for over 40 years – today entirely based on the natural refrigerant CO₂ (R744). The portfolio includes the ROXSTA series of transcritical multiplex systems from 28 to over 960 kW for food retail, logistics centres and industrial process cooling, as well as CO₂ chillers and heat pumps of the COOLSHIFT series. Manufacturing includes copper tube processing, brazing and welding of high-pressure systems up to 130 bar, as well as series and project manufacturing including OEM manufacturing. In addition to series production, TEKO offers customised system planning, prototype construction, heat recovery, remote monitoring (FRIGODATA) and after-sales service. Custom-made industrial CO₂ systems are also manufactured through the Austrian subsidiary Frigopol Kälteanlagen GmbH in Frauental an der Laßnitz. Customers include EDEKA, REWE, Penny, Tesco, Carrefour, DACHSER and other international companies.

Materials & Processes
Copper
Copper tubes for piping of CO₂ refrigeration systems; bent and swaged to minimise brazed joints.
CO₂ (R744)
Natural refrigerant with GWP 1 for all transcritical and subcritical systems.
Propane
Natural refrigerant of the first systems with indirect cooling (1995).
Stainless steel
For drains, drip trays and high-pressure components in CO₂ systems.
Helium
Test medium (95%) for the helium fine leak test of every welded and brazed joint.
