Raymarine (Teledyne Raymarine) is a manufacturer of marine electronics for recreational boating and light commercial marine applications. The product range includes chartplotters (Axiom, Axiom 2, Element), sonar and sonar modules, radar systems (Quantum, Cyclone, Magnum), autopilot systems (Evolution), instruments, marine cameras, AIS receivers, VHF radios and the YachtSense digital switching system. The systems are based on the proprietary LightHouse operating system platform and are designed for harsh marine environments. Customers include recreational and professional mariners, rescue organisations such as the U.S. Coast Guard and the RNLI, as well as government and defence agencies. Raymarine is a subsidiary of Teledyne FLIR (Teledyne Technologies), maintains offices in 12 countries and works with more than 7,500 dealers and installers in 110 countries. Its origins date back to the development of the first commercial echo sounder in 1923; the German location is in Hamburg.
