Der Vieh-Vermarktungs-Ring Temme Struck is a medium-sized, owner-managed company in the fields of agriculture and livestock marketing, based in Schnarup-Thumby in northern Schleswig-Holstein. Since 1987, the company has been a partner for farmers from the region. Its business areas include piglet marketing in cooperation with quality farms in Denmark and northern Germany, the sale of fattening pigs to slaughterhouses in northern and central Germany, and an extensive in-house pig fattening operation. The headquarters houses a fully automatic mixing and grinding plant in which up to 10,000 tonnes of feed per year are produced exclusively for the company's own pig fattening. Piglets and fattening pigs are transported with modern Mercedes trucks and livestock trailers to high safety and hygiene standards. In addition, the company purchases grain (wheat, barley, rye) from neighbouring agricultural farms.
