TERRA AG is a family-run mechanical engineering company in its third generation, founded in 1975 by Dr. Ing. Gustav Jenne and headquartered in Reiden in the canton of Lucerne. The company develops and manufactures construction machinery for trenchless pipeline installation and pipe rehabilitation: HDD mud drilling rigs (TERRA-JET, 4–30 t pullback force), fully electric HDD drilling rigs, all-terrain rock drilling rigs, pit drilling rigs (MINI-JET, TERRA-PIT), guided jacking systems (TERRA-JACK), pneumatic soil displacement hammers (TERRA-HAMMER), steel pipe ramming machines (TR 200mini to TR 565), cable and rod bursting systems, and mixing stations. Development, production and assembly take place in Switzerland (Swiss Made); 8–9 % of revenue is invested in research and development each year. Fields of application are the installation and rehabilitation of pipelines for fibre optics, electricity, natural gas, water, district heating and wastewater.
