About Terre Suisse
Terre Suisse AG is a Swiss soil specialist based in Altstätten in the St. Gallen Rhine Valley. The company develops and produces garden soils, substrates, cover materials, fertilizers and seeds for professional horticultural businesses as well as private customers. In its own soil mixing plant, soils and substrates are mixed, bagged and professionally stored; since 2022, wood fibers have been produced in the company's own facility and mixed into the soils in order to offer peat-reduced, sustainable alternatives. Production in Altstätten is largely automated (bagging systems, palletizers, pneumatic loaders). Via a branch in Feldkirch (Vorarlberg), Terre Suisse supplies Switzerland, Austria and Germany; distribution takes place through specialized retailers, an online shop and direct delivery from the factory. The family business founded in 1999 is run in its third and second generation by Benjamin Pfefferkorn and Daniel Bürki.
