About TGM Kanis Turbinen
TGM Kanis Turbinen GmbH, headquartered in Nuremberg, is a manufacturer of industrial steam turbines, complete steam turbogenerator sets, auxiliary systems and mechanical drives. The product range covers back-pressure and condensing steam turbines in impulse and reaction design (BT and CT series), optionally with controlled extraction and bleeding, as well as complete turbogenerator sets in package design with gearbox, generator, lubricating and control oil systems, electrical and control engineering and auxiliary systems from a single source. The design follows the design principles of the former AEG Kanis with a robust design for rapid load changes and high internal efficiencies; rotor blades are milled from solid. In addition to new builds, retrofits and custom-made turbines, the company offers inspections, overhauls, material testing with its own Level 3 NDT master, machine diagnostics, balancing in its own balancing bunker, rotor refurbishment, modernization and spare parts as a 24-hour service provider. The projects primarily serve biomass and waste incineration plants, combined heat and power plants and the paper and pulp industry; reference projects extend from Europe to Russia and the USA.
