THALMANN Maschinenbau AG, headquartered in Frauenfeld (Switzerland), develops and manufactures folding machines for sheet metal profile manufacturing. Founded in 1948 by Otto Thalmann, the company offers single-fold machines of the TZ model series as well as double-fold machines of the TC and TD model series, which bend steel sheet up to 3 mm thickness. In addition, THALMANN supplies modular automation solutions such as automatic sheet infeed, sheet turning and sheet removal units, as well as THE BASE, a fully automatic production system developed in cooperation with the CIDAN Machinery Group. Customers come from plumbing, carpentry and roofing businesses, façade construction, architectural applications, industrial manufacturing, sheet metal processing and the automotive industry. The machines are sold through a worldwide network of dealers and sales partners; service technicians offer training, maintenance visits, remote maintenance (M-Guard, TeamViewer) and spare parts sales. Around 50 employees work at the headquarters in Frauenfeld; machines can be tested live at a showroom. Since 2022 the company has been part of the CIDAN Machinery Group.
