FOLBB is a European manufacturer of Virgin Fiber Folding Boxboard with two production sites: Baiersbronn Frischfaser Karton GmbH in the Black Forest (Germany) and Folding Boxboard Eerbeek B.V. in the Netherlands. The company produces high-quality cardboard of types GC1 and GC2 based on virgin fiber from sustainably managed European wood. The cardboard serves as raw material for packaging in the Food & Beverage (Chilled Food, Frozen Food, Fast Food/Food Service, Dry Goods, Chocolate & Confectionery, Fruits & Vegetables), Pharma/Healthcare, Cosmetics/Personal Care, and Graphic/Print industries. With approximately 430 employees and an annual capacity of about 245,000 tons, FOLBB supplies processors in Europe and overseas. In addition to the production program, the company operates its own R&D laboratory, provides quality declarations upon customer request, and offers training for processors.

History

Founding of a traditional paper production facility at the Eerbeek site.
- 1937
Founding of the cardboard factory at the Baiersbronn site in the Black Forest (Foamed Wood).
After being acquired by Mayr-Melnhof Karton AG, the two works in Eerbeek and Baiersbronn were jointly acquired by the FOLBB Group.
