The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, headquartered in Akron, Ohio, has been in the tire business for over 125 years. The company manufactures tires for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, aviation applications and Off-the-Road use under the Goodyear, Cooper, Wrangler, Eagle and Assurance brands; the racing tires for the NASCAR Cup Series are produced at the Goodyear Innovation Center in Akron. In addition to manufacturing, Goodyear operates hundreds of its own service locations in the USA under Goodyear Auto Service, which have been run as a wholly owned subsidiary since 1924. The service portfolio includes oil changes with Valvoline motor oils, brake service, battery replacement with NAPA batteries, wheel alignment, wheel balancing, tire rotation, tire repair as well as engine and air conditioning service. Via the Mobile Garage service, fully equipped service vans come directly to the customer on site – from individual vehicles to fleets with hundreds of commercial vehicles. The company is the official tire partner of NASCAR (for over 68 years) and NHRA and supplied the tires for the Garage 56 project at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2023.
