About us
Thermoplast GmbH from Schönhausen (Elbe) manufactures plastic profiles, winding cores in various dimensions, colours and plastics, as well as a range of plastic gutters. The service portfolio covers tool development, extrusion, injection moulding, custom-made products, 5-axis milling for toolmaking and the 3D printing of prototypes and small series. Customers come primarily from the construction industry as well as film and paper processing and are located throughout Europe. Together with the Fraunhofer IMWS institute, the company develops bio-based wood-flour starch compounds, which are further processed into profiles at the site by extrusion. Founded in 1953, the company was converted into a GmbH in 1999, realigned and modernised with new technology.
