About Thermory
Thermory AS is an Estonian manufacturer of thermally modified wood (thermowood) and is among the largest producers in this industry worldwide. The product range includes decking boards, wood facades, wall cladding, floorboards, sauna materials and ready-made saunas as well as industrially painted wood products for interior and exterior use. The wood is treated exclusively with heat and steam – without chemical additives – which improves dimensional stability and durability; selected wood species reach durability class 1 according to EN 350. Pine, spruce, radiata pine, aspen and alder are processed. The value chain ranges from raw material processing in its own sawmills through thermal modification and profiling to surface finishing. The company employs more than 750 staff at 13 production sites in Northern Europe (11 factories and 2 sawmills), including the Reola, Loo and Kastre plants. 90% of production is exported to more than 50 countries; revenue in 2022 exceeded 153 million euros. Customers are architects, construction companies, developers and the wood trade; direct supply to end customers does not take place.
