Thiesen Hardware- und Software-Design GmbH, based in Wartenberg-Angersbach, develops and manufactures LED aircraft lights for ultralight aircraft, helicopters, motor gliders, Annex II experimental aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). As one of the first providers worldwide, founder Jürgen Thiesen recognized the potential of new LED generations for greater safety in airspace; LED technology combines high light output with low power consumption, compact design and freedom from maintenance. All avionics lights are developed and produced in Germany, ensuring quality and a fast response to customer requirements. In addition to its standard product range, the company offers OEM development and custom-made products, including electronics and software development as well as a special potting process for electronics. More than 50 employees work in the fields of aviation technology, vehicle technology (automotive electric), communication technology and IT solutions.
