About THOM
THOM Metall- und Maschinenbau GmbH is a metal processing company based in Verden (Aller), Lower Saxony, founded in 1968 and employing around 90 staff. The company is organized into five business divisions: plant engineering, mechanical engineering, service, parts manufacturing as well as steel and metal construction. It manufactures laser parts, bent/formed parts, turned and milled parts as well as welded assemblies to customer drawings from structural steel, stainless steel and aluminium – supplemented by surface treatments such as powder coating, anodizing and polishing. In mechanical and plant engineering, THOM develops and manufactures turnkey filling and packaging machines (pouch filling technology, spout inserters, filling capping), conveying and mixing technology as well as special machinery for the food, beverage, cosmetics, pet food and confectionery industries. The machine park comprises CNC turning and milling machines (including HEDELIUS, MAZAK, DECKEL MAHO, HAAS, MIKRON), a TRUMPF laser system (sheet up to 20 mm steel, 15 mm stainless steel, 10 mm aluminium at 1500 × 3000 mm) as well as press brakes up to 3000 mm working width. The company is certified to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015, DIN EN ISO 3834-2 and DIN EN 1090-2 (EXC2) and supplies customers on all six continents.
