About us
Thomann Nutzfahrzeuge AG is a family-owned Swiss company headquartered in Schmerikon. Founded in 1995 by Luzi Thomann, the company specializes in the sales, customization, maintenance and repair of heavy and light commercial vehicles from renowned manufacturers – from trucks, buses and vans to trailers as well as attachments and superstructures. The operation is reachable 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and offers a free pickup and delivery service, flying mechanics and an express delivery service for spare parts. Special needs of bus operators are met at several bus competence centers; in addition, sales and service contracts exist for brands such as Renault Trucks, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, IVECO, MAN, VDL Bus & Coach and others. Following the integration of the workshops of Rottal Auto AG and Gebr. Knecht AG, the group comprises eight businesses at nine locations in Switzerland and employs over 200 staff. Customers come from transport, logistics, bus operations, municipal winter service and freight forwarding, including SBB, Eurobus and Südostbahn.
