ThoMar OHG is a manufacturer specialized in desiccants, based in Lütau east of Hamburg. The company develops, produces and distributes desiccant bags and dehumidifiers for moisture protection during transport, storage and production. The products include silica gel bags according to DIN 55473, high-performance salt-starch-based desiccants for containers (SeaDry, moisture absorption up to 300 % of its own weight) as well as the BoxDryy inbox desiccant based on magnesium chloride with a Tyvek membrane. In addition to standardized Business Products, ThoMar manufactures custom-made solutions for customers, including pharmaceutical production with a tube bag filling machine and spool winder. Customers come from industry and wholesale, the public sector (NCAGE code CM866) as well as from sectors such as transport, pharma, food, wind and hydropower and offshore measurement technology. Since 2012 the company has been certified to ISO 9001 for the development, manufacture and distribution of desiccant bags and dehumidifiers. The team comprises more than 30 employees; production uses solar energy and waste heat.
