For over 40 years, Thomas Knapp Historische Baustoffe GmbH has been supplying carpenters, joiners, wood and building materials dealers, restaurateurs and private customers with old oak wood in many forms and qualities. Old oak beams are sawn into dimensional lumber in the company's own sawmill; the range includes historical oak beams, old planks and boards, floorboards, laminated wood and 3-layer panels, seasoned oak beams made from new wood, as well as sun-bleached boards of oak and spruce/fir. In addition, historical bricks, old sandstone slabs and antique terracotta tiles are offered. Reclaimed wood in fixed dimensions can be ordered directly via the online shop altholzladen.de; delivery is also available in large quantities of uniform quality. The in-house joinery produces, among other things, table tops of the GASTROLINE line and the Structure wall cladding and carries out installation at the customer's site. Sustainable reclaimed wood management has been a central theme of the company, based in Deensen, since the early 1980s.
