About Lattoflex – Thomas GmbH + Co. KG
Thomas GmbH + Co. Sitz- und Liegemöbel KG is a family business founded in 1935, now in its third generation, headquartered in Bremervörde, northern Germany. Under the Lattoflex brand, the company develops and produces bed systems with point-elastic wing spring suspension, mattresses with cold foam cores, as well as pillows and motorized frames. In 1957, the world's first wooden slatted bed frame was built in the workshop of founder Karl Thomas together with Hugo Degen; since the mid-1990s, the patented point-spring suspension has relied on high-performance plastics such as fiber-reinforced plastics and POM. The mattress cores are made of ClimaCell® cold foam with a density of 55 kg/m³ and are finished with various covers, including recycled polyester. The products are distributed through a network of more than 300 authorized specialist retail partners, are available in standard and custom sizes, and support users up to 160 kg (XL option). The company employs around 180 staff; the expertise of the Thomas Group is also in demand among aircraft manufacturers and automotive suppliers.
