About kiimoto – Thomas Widmer GmbH
Under the kiimoto brand, Thomas Widmer GmbH produces custom storage fireplaces and storage stoves by hand in its own manufactory in Ostrach in the Ostrach valley near Upper Swabia. The company traces its origins to the stove-building business founded by Franz Xaver Widmer in 1951 and is today run by master stove and air heating installer Thomas Widmer of the third generation. The handcrafted stoves are based on a self-developed combustion chamber (kiimoto ignition) and storage technology (kiimoto recharge) with a stated 93% efficiency and up to ten hours of stored heat; with kiimoto+, an entire house including underfloor heating can be supplied. Products are made from steel, patinated steel and handcrafted ceramic tiles as well as other materials such as concrete and wood. In addition to planning, manufacturing and nationwide delivery and installation, the company offers consulting, repair and spare parts as well as outdoor fireplaces, kitchens, stairs and doors in its own signature style. The manufactory also serves as a showroom.
