Automated inventory monitoring with drone and LiDAR
Tinamu Labs AG is a Swiss deep-tech company founded in 2018 as an ETH spin-off and headquartered in Zurich. The company develops automated monitoring solutions for inventory control of bulk materials in warehouses, silos, ships and open-air storage areas. Its core products are the Plug-&-Play LiDAR kit TINAMU RMS light (usable on DJI drones or as a handheld device) and the fully automatic Robotic Monitoring System (RMS) for indoor inspections using computer-vision navigation without GPS and without pilots. The LiDAR technology (360° sensor Livox MID-360, 40 m range, 10 Hz, 200,000 points/s) delivers point clouds for digital volume measurement with over 99% accuracy, algorithmic counting of units, anomaly detection (visual/thermal) as well as weight estimation using effective densities. Automated cloud data processing delivers results in under two hours, via dashboard, white-label reports (Excel, Word, PDF) or API integration. Customers come from the metals and minerals industry, agriculture and bulk logistics, including Nyrstar, Kibag, Aurubis, Bureau Veritas, Bunge and Axpo. The systems are deployed in Europe, Africa, Brazil and Canada.
