About our joinery
Tischlerei-Restaurierungen Raik Schlusche was founded in 1988 in Brandenburg an der Havel and is run as a sole proprietorship by its owner Raik Schlusche, a certified restorer in the joinery trade and agraduate craftsman business manager trained at the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation Berlin-Brandenburg (Staatliche Schlösser und Gärten Potsdam-Sanssouci). The company works intensively with wood as a natural material: alongside the restoration of valuable interior fittings, building components and antiques, new pieces are produced in traditional construction methods. The portfolio of services includes custom-made wooden exterior and interior doors, box windows, folding shutters and staircases modelled on historical examples, built-in furniture for niches, sloped ceilings and awkward corners, as well as loft conversions. Work is carried out in solid wood and veneer, including maple, ash and beech, as well as on joinery panels. Surfaces are finished using ecological methods such as shellac, oil and wax polishing as well as environmentally friendly lacquers. The workshop with showroom is located in a 300-year-old half-timbered house at the Domkietz.
