Tischlerei Ulrich Herms is a construction and furniture joinery in Berlin-Weißensee, established in 1992. The focus is on individual furniture and interior fitting: custom and built-in furniture, kitchens, worktop renewals as well as design-oriented interior fitting with wood, cork, linoleum and glass. All work is offered as new production or repair, including window and door repairs, new doors built to historical models, plank and parquet work as well as staircase repairs. Production is carried out with ecological considerations using German hardwoods and softwoods, on request also overseas and exotic woods; surfaces are exclusively oiled and waxed with natural products. Clients include public-sector customers, housing administrations, religious communities, medical practices, retail shops and private individuals. For the professional restoration of old furniture and building elements, the business received the Federal Prize for Craft in Monument Preservation in 2010.
