About Tischlerei Meysahn
Tischlerei und Böttcherei Meysahn is a family business founded in 1692 in Malchin, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Originally established as a cooperage, today its portfolio covers the manufacture and installation of windows made of wood, plastic (REHAU GENEO) and wood/aluminium, exterior and interior doors, window shutters, sun protection systems, gates as well as partition and folding wall systems with fire, smoke and sound protection. In addition, the company carries out interior fitting and drywall construction, custom built-in furniture made of solid wood, laminate and decorative chipboard, floor laying (parquet, laminate, cork, CELENIO, DISANO) and the restoration of historic windows, doors and furniture. Production is carried out as one-off and custom-made work, from consultation and planning to precise on-site installation. Customers come from residential, commercial and public buildings, including nurseries, schools, youth hostels and administrative buildings in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Hamburg. The premises are located at Wiesenstraße 5 in Malchin.

History
- 1692
Founded on 21 January by master cooper Michael Meusal; the family came to Germany as Huguenots from France. Production of barrels, tubs, buckets and vats made of wood.
- 1920
Heyday of the company with 24 employees; originally on Strelitzer Straße in Malchin, after a fire it moved to its current location at Wiesenstraße 5.
- 1967
Horst Meysahn took over the company after completing his master cooper examination in Magdeburg.
- 1990
The company was run as a GbR (partnership under civil law) during the reunification period.
- 1998
Frank Meysahn and his wife took over the management; first managing director without a cooperage background, later with a master joiner qualification.
