About Tizona BioEnergy
Tizona BioEnergy SA is a Geneva-based, globally active provider of waste management solutions and supplier of advanced feedstock for the biodiesel and HVO industry. The company collects used cooking oil (UCO5) through its own collection centres in Peru and Colombia as well as animal fats (BFT4–BFT20) from Colombia, and has been supplying these to biodiesel and HVO producers in Europe and the USA since 2020. Processing includes filtration of the oil to remove impurities, water and solids, weighing on certified scales, laboratory quality control and storage in tanks. Transport is carried out by ship or in containers (Flexibag or Isotank) including internal logistics, documentation and traceability. In addition, Tizona offers waste management consulting services as well as project and co-financing for waste management projects. Since 2021, collection and export have been carried out in accordance with the ISCC standard; the products are EPA-compliant and hold the required traceability and veterinary approvals (USDA, ISCC, EPA).
