About tobaTEC
tobaTEC is a German 3D printing service provider for ready-to-install plastic parts based in Sulzfeld in Baden. The company produces functional prototypes and small series using selective laser sintering (SLS), stereolithography (SLA) and vacuum casting – with a delivery time of 4 to 6 days. Its machine park includes industrial EOS laser sintering systems, including the highly productive EOS P770 invested in 2024 for economical small series production with complex geometries. Materials used include PA11 (PA 1101/PA 1102 black made from renewable raw materials), PA12, glass-fiber-reinforced polyamide, photopolymers and various polyurethanes in vacuum casting. Beyond manufacturing, tobaTEC supports customers in co-engineering from the idea through prototyping to series maturity and, on request, handles finishing such as painting, labeling and polishing. Customers come from medical technology, automotive & motorhomes, agriculture, mechanical engineering, aerospace, toolmaking as well as from design offices and engineering firms.

Materials & Processes
PA 1101 / PA 1102 black (Polyamide 11)
Impact-resistant, chemical-resistant polyamide made from renewable raw materials (castor oil) for mechanically robust functional parts, orthoses and film hinges, processed with a 0.12 mm layer thickness.
Polyamide 12 (PA12)
The standard material of laser sintering for robust, durable prototypes and end-use parts without support structures.
Glass-fiber-reinforced polyamide
Glass-fiber-filled polyamide for temperature-resistant and load-bearing prototypes in functional testing.
Photopolymer (Stereolithography)
Liquid photopolymer, cured layer by layer with UV light, for fine structures, smooth surfaces as well as transparent, flexible and high-strength materials.
Polyurethane (vacuum casting)
Various polyurethanes that imitate conventional plastics, for identical parts in near-series small batches.
