About the Töpferei am Brunnen
The Töpferei am Brunnen - Keramik Reiss is an owner-operated business run by graduate ceramic designer Karin Reiss in Bad Kissingen. In its own shop and workshop, exclusively handmade ceramic products are produced: tableware such as mugs, plates and bowls, garden ceramics, clay sculptures and one-of-a-kind pieces, light bowls as well as custom-made items to customer specification. Production is done by free-form throwing of clay; the painting is done with colored engobes (pottery colors), and a firing service for pieces painted by customers themselves is also part of the offering. In addition to production, pottery courses and workshops are offered in which visitors can learn about the manufacturing processes and get creative themselves. Customers can browse in the shop, look over the workshop's shoulder, or receive orders by shipping (within Germany). Memberships include the BBK München and the Thuringian Potters' Guild.
