About Toggenburg Distillery
Toggenburg Distillery GmbH, based in Neu St. Johann (municipality of Nesslau, canton of St. Gallen), produces spirits in hand-guided production. The range includes the fruity herbal liqueur BERMONTIS (27% Vol., no chemical ingredients), the organic dry gin TOGGIUS (44% Vol.) with herbs from the Toggenburg, Valais apricots and Thurgau strawberries, the liqueur NOSS&BIRE made from walnuts and pears (32% Vol.) as well as its own herb fondue. In 2024, the limited blended whisky Two Monks (430 bottles) was launched. The starting point was the diploma thesis «From a Booze Idea to a Herbal Liqueur» by Robert Häne and Marek Elias; the first production took place in 2017/2018 in a converted horse stable covering 16 m². After a stopover in Wattwil and moving into the new distillery in Neu St. Johann in 2022, all bottles are filled, labelled and inscribed by hand. The distillery offers guided tours and distributes its products via the catering industry, retail and its own online shop in Switzerland.
