About Touchless Automation

Touchless development GmbH (known under the brand Touchless Automation) developed, manufactured and distributed tools and machines in the field of touchless automation. The company produced industrial systems capable of manipulating parts made of any material without physical contact – for handling, assembly and inspection of optoelectronic, MEMS and micro-optical components. The product portfolio included touchless transfer systems/transfer robots for the contactless transport of small objects as well as the fully automatic, touchless sorting machine LEVIO. The patented gripping system enables the placement of the smallest parts without adhesion effects, among other things in the semiconductor and watchmaking industries. The headquarters were located in Biel/Bienne in the centre of Swiss micromechanics and high-precision manufacturing (Watchmaking Valley). The company was registered in 2016, liquidated in 2021 and deleted in 2022; in 2025 a patent for touchless object handling was registered.
