About TouchNetix
TouchNetix was founded in 2010 and develops capacitive touch and force-sensing technology for demanding applications. The company originates from former executives of the Touch Technology and AVR Microcontroller groups at Atmel Corporation, who had defined and delivered the maXTouch touchscreen IC product lines there. The core product is the aXiom chip family of touch controller ICs offered since 2018, complemented by touch sensors and modules, force sensing, 3D sensing (hover & proximity), evaluation kits as well as functional-safety features such as hands-off detection. The solutions are used, among others, in automotive cockpits, HVAC control units, steering wheels, industrial control panels, construction machinery, kiosk systems, medical technology, household appliances and large-format displays up to 105 inches. The technology is designed for harsh environments and supports operation with thick gloves, moisture, dirt as well as EMC resilience. The headquarters are located in Trondheim, Norway; an office exists in Fareham, United Kingdom.
