About TQS – Technical Quartz Solutions
TQS – Technical Quartz Solutions GmbH manufactures infrared panel heaters and quartz products for industrial applications in Wiesbaden (Mainz-Kastel). The product portfolio includes medium-wave infrared heaters (CLASSIC, VELOX, PILOT, square heaters), dishes, crucibles and tubes made of SILARC, quartz tubes and quartz rods, optical components made of quartz glass as well as Spectrosil® 2000 and Micaver® insulators. The company's roots go back to 1910, when it operated as Deutsch-Englische-Quarzschmelze GmbH in Berlin, producing fused quartz products for the chemical industry. After stints as a joint venture with Thermal Syndicate Ltd. and Schott+Genossen, acquisition by the TSL Group (1965) and Saint-Gobain (1988), the company regained its legal independence in 2009 through a management buyout. Since 2015, TQS has been wholly owned by VS Technical Supplies GmbH from Frankfurt and is managed by Volker Schmidt. Customers come primarily from the chemical industry and industrial heat treatment.
