About Trafar AG
Trafar AG is a Swiss manufacturing company based in Uetendorf in the canton of Bern that offers comprehensive solutions for customers in plant and mechanical engineering. Its range of services includes machining by turning, milling and drilling, the production of welded constructions in its own metalworking shop, engineering support and the 3D printing of prototypes. In the Biglia Smart Turn II turn-mill centre, larger and longer turned parts as well as complex turn-mill parts are produced with CAM support; the AXA VPC 40 U 5-axis gantry machining centre allows machining with fewer setups. The DMG MORI DMU 65H 5-axis simultaneous milling machine with PH Cell pallet automation (Z-axis machining range 700 mm), acquired in 2023, enables automated production of series and individual parts around the clock. Since the shift of production towards stainless steel in 1972, the machining of this material has been one of the company's focal areas. Trafar AG covers the entire value chain from concept through production to assembly of individual parts and post-processing or surface finishing, making it an end-to-end partner for plant and mechanical engineering.
