About Transcend

Transcend Information Inc. is a Taiwanese company headquartered in Taipei, founded in 1988 by Peter Shu, which manufactures and distributes memory modules and memory products. The German sales subsidiary, Transcend Information Trading GmbH, is located in Hamburg-Langenhorn and has served the German, Austrian and Swiss markets since 1992. The product portfolio includes over 2,500 memory modules for desktop PCs, notebooks, servers and workstations, since 2000 flash memory products such as memory cards, USB sticks and external hard drives, and since 2007/2008 solid state drives. For industrial applications, embedded SSDs, memory modules (DDR2 through DDR5), industrial microSD cards and flash modules with extended temperature ranges are offered, used among other things in medical technology, surveillance systems, POS terminals, automation and defense technology. Transcend develops, produces and markets its products in-house and maintains 12 to 13 subsidiaries worldwide. In 2001, the company became the first memory manufacturer in Taiwan to be listed on the stock exchange (TSEC 2451).
