Transtec Elektroanlagen GmbH was founded in 1991 and has since specialized in the development and manufacture of electrical components, with a focus on toroidal transformers. In its first five years, the company established itself as a producer for the halogen low-voltage industry and evolved into a manufacturer specializing in transformers. The portfolio includes open, center-hole encapsulated and fully encapsulated toroidal transformers, single-phase transformers, single-phase safety transformers, rectifier and control transformers, chokes and noise filter chokes, coils, switch-mode power supplies, outdoor LED power supplies, as well as inrush current limiters. In addition to manufacturing, since the 21st century Transtec GmbH has also been engaged for concept development and the design of custom electrical components and special types. Production takes place in Hilden near Düsseldorf; the components can be manufactured, among other things, with integrated protective elements such as thermal fuses, thermal cut-outs, thermal relays or PTC resistors.
