About the Traumfabrik
The Traumfabrik is a show theater of imagination based in Munich, founded in 1980 by Rainer Pawelke at the University of Regensburg as a sports theater project. The ensemble of acrobatics, dance, pantomime, music and stage art produces its own show programs, which have been touring annually through Bavaria and Germany for over 45 years – more than 1 million visitors have been reached to date. The value chain includes the conception, choreography and direction of the shows, the setup and operation of the tours with a crew of around 40 people, as well as commissioned productions for opening ceremonies of international events and corporate events. The Traumfabrik became known, among other things, for the opening ceremony of the 25th World Gymnastics Championships in Stuttgart (1989) and the official cultural program of the German Day at the World Exhibition EXPO'92 in Seville. The current 2026/2027 tour 'Kaleidoskopia' comprises 38 performances in 10 cities with up to 30,000 spectators.
