About Traumton

Traumton has existed as a music production company and recording studio in Berlin since 1989; the label Traumton Records was founded in 1992. The label specializes in productions and releases in the fields of jazz, world music, ambient/avant-garde as well as pop/chanson and entertainment. The recordings are made in the company's own studio in Berlin-Spandau, a former ballroom from the 1920s; sound engineer and producer Wolfgang Loos shapes the sound of the productions. Traumton works on a long-term basis with artists from Germany, Switzerland, Portugal, the USA, Brazil and Hungary and has released well over 300 albums to date. In addition to its own productions, the company licenses music from Germany and abroad, sells sound recordings via distribution and its own online shop with worldwide shipping.
