TRENGA is an independent bicycle manufacturer founded in Hamburg in 1995 and owned by the Dirks family. The company develops and manufactures premium bicycles and e-bikes – from e-trekking, e-city and e-gravel bikes through e-MTBs to city, trekking, gravel and road bikes. Most of the value creation takes place in Germany: development, polyester powder coating, wheel building and assembly are 100 % located in the company's own factory in Hamburg-Harburg. Aluminium frames and forks are coated using the corona process and baked at 160–200 °C; custom decorative colours are offered for carbon frames. Customers can individually choose equipment and colours; company bikes are manufactured in corporate design, among others for the Hamburg Police, Hamburg Fire Department, HHLA and DER SPIEGEL. In addition to the online shop with nationwide delivery, TRENGA operates factory stores with test-ride tracks and workshops in Hamburg and Buchholz in der Nordheide, as well as a nationwide workshop partner network.
