About TRL

TRL Automatisierungstechnik und EDV Systemlösungen GmbH was founded in 1990 as an engineering office for mechanical engineering and software development and specialises in CNC machines for shoe last manufacturing. The family-owned company, headquartered in Lemberg (Rhineland-Palatinate), develops, produces and sells CNC last milling machines, CNC digitising machines, and CAD/CAM and 3D software. The machines mill shoe lasts and orthopaedic lasts from wood, plastic and hard foam completely finished, without time-consuming post-processing – from one-off production to series production. With the LM-01 MAX, models up to 1000 mm in height and 500 mm in diameter can be machined; the LM-04 mills four individual shoe lasts simultaneously in 3 minutes. Customers include shoemakers, orthopaedic shoemakers, last modellers, last factories and manufacturers of bespoke shoes; the machines are in use worldwide.

History

  1. 1990

Founded as an engineering office for mechanical engineering and software development with a focus on computer-controlled manufacturing machines for the footwear industry.

  2. 1992

Development of a solution for computer-controlled production of hinged shoe lasts for complete CNC milling.

  3. 1995

Complete product range of CNC digitising and CNC milling machines for the development and production of shoe lasts.

  4. 1998

Own production of CNC last milling machines at the company headquarters in Pirmasens.

  5. 2000

Move to the new company building in Lemberg.

  6. 2002

Introduction of the TPM machine: two different pairs of shoe lasts simultaneously, approx. 2 minutes machining time.

  7. 2003

TRL CNC last milling machines in daily use worldwide.

  8. 2019

Introduction of the LM-01; optimised for orthopaedic shoe lasts; complete machining by holding at the comb. The old product range is replaced.

  9. 2020

Introduction of the LM-02, which produces a completely finished pair of shoe lasts in a single operation.

  10. 2022

Introduction of the LM-01 MAX, also for larger orthopaedic forms (max. 1000 mm height, 500 mm diameter).

  11. 2023

Introduction of the LM-01 R for roughing raw wood or plastic blocks.

  12. 2024

Introduction of the LM-04, ultra-high-speed CNC last milling machine; four individual shoe lasts simultaneously in 3 minutes.
