Company
Tsarona Organics UG is a Berlin-based food company with a European sales and development base and an operational sister company in Botswana. The company opens up climate-resilient, traditional African crops – above all the Bambara groundnut – for the European market. To this end, it operates supply chain infrastructure with direct trade with smallholder farmers, transparency and compliance layers, as well as in-house product development and processing. The product range includes plant-based products such as the snack brand Bamba Bites based on the Bambara groundnut as well as porridge mixes; wholesale and bulk offerings are also provided for manufacturers, retail, offices, cafés and events. Procurement takes place directly from over 3,000 smallholders in 11 African countries. The Bambara groundnut was the first to receive an EU Novel Food approval (Regulation 2024/2047). The company originated from the brand Bio Wild, from which today's platform evolved.
