Tschida Tschili is a family business from Illmitz in Burgenland that specializes in chilies and tomatoes. The Tschida family grows all plants from seed to harvest themselves, in the greenhouse and in the polytunnel on their own chili farm. From their own harvest, chili sauces, pastes, powders, salts, chutneys, relishes and crispy chili oils are produced and packaged in-house. In spring, the business also offers chili seedlings in over 50 varieties and tomato seedlings in over 50 varieties for the garden. Several products, including Drachenblut, ReapRacha and Chilicrack, have been awarded at international competitions such as Great Taste, Scovie Awards and Flave Awards. Sales are handled via an own online shop with shipping throughout Europe; guided tours and company visits are also offered for culinary tours. A new headquarter and a new greenhouse at the Illmitz site are under construction.
