About Tungaloy
Tungaloy is a manufacturer of carbide cutting tools headquartered in Japan. The company develops and produces indexable inserts, tool holders, milling and drilling systems as well as friction materials, wear-resistant components and civil engineering products based on powder metallurgy. The cutting materials include cemented carbide (tungsten carbide with cobalt binder) with CVD and PVD coatings down to 50 nm layer thickness as well as CBN, cermet, PCD and ceramics; the PremiumTec surface treatment improves tool life of coated grades. The product portfolio covers turning, grooving/parting-off, milling and drilling for materials such as steel, stainless steel, cast iron, titanium, superalloys and non-ferrous metals. Main production is located in Japan, complemented by plants in Thailand, China and Turkey; logistics centers in Asia, Europe and North America as well as sales offices in more than twenty countries supply more than twenty countries. In Germany, Tungaloy-NTK Germany GmbH distributes the products, complemented by digital services such as the e-Catalog, the AI tool selection assistant Gabby and the Metal Cutting Academy. Customers come from automotive, aerospace, medical technology, energy, construction, infrastructure, heavy industry and general mechanical engineering.
